Nose Re-Surgery

While shopping around for revision rhinoplasty... wondering why people get complete removal (removal, autologous dermis)

I’m writing a review of the consultations I had to remove the silicone I’d had for eight years. The reason for surgery was that it sometimes became red, and worry and anxiety that something might go wrong kept me from sleeping. The first was a hospital in Seoul famous for autologous dermis. The director’s consultation was clear and reassuring. What I liked most was that after looking at my nasal CT, he honestly said I didn’t need surgery immediately. He said surgery could achieve a height similar to my current nose (3 mm silicone). Since this would be my second surgery and safety was my priority, he explained the possible complications of dermal surgery in detail and said I would be comfortable enough to box after surgery. 6.5 million won. The second was a place famous as one of the top three hospitals for complete removal. They examined my nose with ultrasound and explained everything. There was no current problem with my nose, but they recommended removing the silicone now because its service life was nearing its end and I would feel more comfortable. We discussed removing even the cartilage, referring to photos of my original nose, and they said the bridge between the eyes could be raised with AlloDerm (?) after removal through a closed approach. The director said that because the material used in my first surgery was common, they would proceed with a closed approach. 4.8 million won. After consulting at both places, I realized that the first doctor was very confident that autologous dermis is a safe material, so I’m leaning toward dermis. But why do people usually go as far as complete removal...?
