Review of my third revision rhinoplasty with autologous costal cartilage

Hello, this is my two-month review after my third revision rhinoplasty with autologous costal cartilage by Dr. Park Chan-young at XO. My biggest concern as time passed after my previous rhinoplasty was that my nose looked increasingly crooked. It looked worse in photos than in the mirror, which caused me a lot of stress Other people might not notice, but to me my nose kept appearing shifted to one side, so I lost confidence when smiling and taking selfies. About one month after surgery, significant swelling remained, but now that it has been two months, I feel that almost all the swelling has gone down. Especially around the bridge, there is hardly any swelling now, and the overall shape looks very natural. These days, people around me often say it finally looks like my real nose, which makes me happy! At first there was a slightly artificial feeling, but over time it has settled naturally into my face. Surprisingly, I can hardly remember what my nose looked like before surgery. In the past, I was always bothered by how crooked it looked in photos and felt that the center of my face looked slightly misaligned, but now I hardly worry about that. Seeing how it looks now even makes me think I would have been in serious trouble if I hadn’t had surgery;; I’m satisfied because it suits my face so naturally. haha Once it reached two months, not only the shape but also daily life—the part I had worried about most—had fully recovered. I love vigorous exercise, so immediately after harvesting the cartilage I worried it would take a long time before I could do the activities I enjoy. Walking was slightly uncomfortable and moving my body caused a dull ache, so I was very worried about when it would improve. But with time, I returned to normal daily life, and recently even my exercise condition recovered enough for me to run 8 km easily! The autologous rib scar still bothers me somewhat, but I’ve consistently applied scar ointment and it seems definitely lighter than at first. haha It’s not yet completely unnoticeable, so I think I need to keep caring for it. They say scars can fade further with time, so I won’t be impatient and will continue managing it. It will need more time for the nose shape to fully settle, right? Even so, I’m already very satisfied at two months. I’m looking forward to seeing how much more natural it becomes with time!
