10-day review: functional nose surgery with autologous costal cartilage

I had my stitches removed today, slept for a while, and woke up still looking like an avatar.... The stitches didn’t hurt much at all; it just felt a little tight. The autologous-rib area hurt a bit only until day three, and now it feels completely fine. I’m just being careful not to run or move too much because sometimes the sutured area feels like it’s pulling. My nostrils opened completely after surgery for deviated septum, but became slightly blocked again because of swelling. It’s still nowhere near as bad as before surgery, but I’m anxious that it might get blocked again Compared with the autologous cartilage at the tip, the cartilage used for the nasolabial angle feels more uncomfortable, with a pulling sensation. I also had minced autologous cartilage placed in my nasolabial folds, but I can’t tell what has changed yet because of the swelling.... I said I wanted to keep my natural, round front-facing image, and although my front view hasn’t changed much, I had slight alar drooping, so lowering the columella a little has moved the central facial axis lower than before. Do I like the shape of my nose now?? I’m distraught because I look like an avatar.... The nostrils and shape seem okay, but I’m extremely swollen.... I know the tip will come down, but I’m still very distressed... It just feels like my nose has doubled in size. I knew it would look like this after the splint came off, but seeing it in the mirror, I really need to manage my mental state. That’s my 10-day review.
