Eleven years ago, I had my first surgery with silicone + septal cartilage + ear cartilage, and ten years ago, my second surgery with silicone + ear cartilage + donated rib cartilage. Recently, an issue developed: my nose started becoming inflamed, so I am considering removal surgery.
1. Open total removal (inflamed silicone, donated rib cartilage, capsule): 4.4 million KRW, in-person consultation without CT 2. Closed method (only removing the silicone and inflammation): 3.5 million KRW, with CT and photo review 3. Initially remove only the silicone by phone consultation: 1 million KRW
The estimates from the two clinics I have consulted differ by about 1 million KRW. Clinic 1 strongly recommended removing everything and said reconstruction would be done after everything was removed and the area had settled. Clinic 2 seemed to prioritize removing the silicone first and then guide me toward something later, but I have no plans for that. I am scheduled to visit Clinic 3 tomorrow.
I currently do not have enough money, so I will borrow some. I want everything removed. My husband thinks the suspected cause should be removed first—the silicone.
