Breast Surgery Reviews

Breast augmentation with Mentor Xtra, inframammary incision: 2-week review

I am short, with a broad rib cage and short waist, and had an AAA cup. I was stressed that, apart from having long hair, my body looked too masculine; sometimes, going out barefaced in gym clothes, I was even mistaken for a middle-school boy. Then I thought I should have surgery while I was still young and recovered well, so I decided to get breasts. My measurements: rib cage 78, breast width 18.5, a little accessory breast tissue, thick skin, no assets, protruding sternum, short and plump. Haha, T_T I do not have a pretty figure. Before surgery I bought body wipes, dry shampoo, comfortable clothes, Tylenol, and Danggui Sini Decoction. I ordered porridge through a delivery app. I brought various things to the hospital, but honestly, aside from a payment card and a caregiver, I do not think anything was necessary. I will get into the consultation and surgery details. During consultation, they said the usual size was around a C cup, but since I am not slim and long-bodied, I thought a full B would look more natural and suit me better, so I chose a full B. Honestly, I think I was more nervous, sensitive, and stressed because I had not seen a review from anyone with conditions similar to mine. I was extremely nervous going into the consultation, but both the coordinator and director were so sweet, worked hard to ease my nerves, and explained everything thoroughly and carefully. After comparing many clinics, I had Mentor Xtra implants, 295 cc on each side, placed using the dual-plane method through an inframammary incision at [Clinic A] by Dr. Jang Seo-yoon. I have had surgery before, but this was the biggest operation of my life, and I was so nervous that I do not even remember how I got to the hospital. I barely remember anything, and even when I was placed on the operating table, it did not feel real, lol, T_T. The anesthesiologist came and said, “I am your dedicated anesthesiologist^^” (They probably did not actually say it exactly like that, lol), and I started thinking, “Oh, I am really having surgery now 😢.” Right after that, I was put under sedation, followed by general anesthesia, slept well, and woke up, lol... lol. Immediately after surgery, I had no strength and was out of it because of the general anesthesia. I was prepared to be cold, since I have always felt cold when waking from anesthesia, but the recovery-room bed was heated, so I rested very comfortably. This was the first hospital where the bed was warm without me having to ask; the nurses were also extremely kind and checked on me frequently, which made me very comfortable. I stayed overnight, and the room was clean, comfortable, and spacious, so I rested while thinking it was paradise. The nurses continued checking on me while I received pain medication and helped me sit up and stand. Even while groggy, I strongly felt, “This is so comfortable, so nice, amazing—if someone says they are getting breast surgery, I would absolutely recommend staying overnight.” 🥹 (I am still so grateful.) The sweet pumpkin porridge was genuinely delicious 👍. There was also a shampoo service. Since my hair was a complete mess from lying down after surgery, they made me look presentable before discharge. I was truly moved; the service was legendary and amazing. During the first week, I had some pain, but I slept with my upper body elevated against cushions as instructed, took my meals and medication properly, and walked a little every day, so the swelling went down fairly quickly. (But I wondered if I had gained some weight because I ate and rested so well.) From day 5, I washed myself alone (no showering), got dressed, and went to work. On day 7, I had a follow-up and received a regenerative laser, body pack, and CryoCell. They checked everything carefully during the treatments and answered all my questions. They also kindly gave me tips for care at home, haha. As the second week began, the swelling started decreasing even faster, and what I had thought was fat during week one turned out to be swelling, just as the nurse had said. Phew. From around the second week, I became almost neurotic: even if I felt a little pain or swelling, I would stress myself out wondering whether something was wrong and bite my nails. But I felt reassured after hearing that if a real problem occurs, you do not remain uncertain and stress yourself out; you realize immediately that something is wrong even if you do not want to know, lol. It feels like [Clinic A] is taking care of my mental health too, haha. My breasts are still swollen and firm because the skin has not relaxed yet, but I love their position and size so much that I am even more excited to see how they develop!
