This is my review 6 years after getting LASEK at Eye Plus Ophthalmology near Gangnam Station
I don’t remember the cost very clearly, but I think they gave us some kind of discount because my family member and I had it done together about 1-2 weeks apart
Back then, I only knew the basic difference between LASEK and LASIK and went through with the surgery without fear, haha,, If I had looked up a lot of posts about side effects and things like that, I probably would have been too scared to do it, but I didn’t really know much at the time.. I think I found a hospital that was fairly well-known and had good reviews for the director, then went straight for a consultation and made a reservation
I originally had astigmatism, so I was used to glare and halos (it did get a bit worse), and I don’t think I had any particular side effects. But until about 6 months after surgery, the colors seen by each eye were subtly different. I told the director about this at my follow-up visit too, and he said it was unusual, maybe because there wasn’t data on cases like this, and that we should keep watching itㅠ Thankfully, now that 6 years have passed, it’s fine.
These days, I feel like my vision may be getting worse because I overwork my eyes so much with Netflix, YouTube Shorts, TVING, office monitors.. haha
Anyway, the male director who was a bit older (I don’t remember his nameㅠ) was really considerate, warm, and kind, so I felt very comfortable and it was really nice I hope everyone looking into LASIK or LASEK has a successful surgery!
