Liposuction Reviews

One-month review after arm liposuction!!

It has already been one month since my revision liposuction. The first week was more hectic than I expected because of the swelling and bruising, but now that it has been a month, things are definitely very different from the beginning. Right after surgery, I was cautious even about moving my arms, and I was worried because the swelling and bruising extended down to the backs of my hands. However, starting around days 4–5, movement quickly became easier, to the point that I could raise my arms and tie my hair by myself. The stitches were removed after one week, and the hospital confirmed that my recovery was going well.

Now, at one month, I have almost no pain or inconvenience in daily life. I can move my arms freely, and I no longer worry about even lightly bumping them as I did at first. The biggest change I notice is the arm contour. At first, my arms looked thicker than expected because of the swelling, but as it subsided, the contour created by the surgery gradually began to show. In particular, the thickness when my arms are down and the line from the armpits into the arms feel much more refined than before.

That said, one month does not mean the final result is complete. Some areas still feel firm when touched, and the skin has not become completely soft yet. So I want to watch a little longer to see how the contour changes as more swelling subsides and the tissue softens.

The biggest source of stress early on was my weight. I weighed 73.4 kg before surgery, but afterward I even went up to the 77-kg range because of the swelling, so I wondered, “Did I gain weight?” As time passed, my weight started to come back down, and seeing the swelling in my face and waist go down as well made me realize firsthand that the early increase was largely due to postoperative edema.

These days, rather than focusing on a single number on the scale, I compare photos of my arm contours and watch the changes. It is not the finished result yet at one month, but so far I am recovering with satisfaction: the early swelling and bruising have reduced considerably, daily life has become easier, and the arm contour I hoped for is gradually starting to appear. I will keep recording how much the firm areas soften and how much more the contour settles at two and three months!!
