Nose Surgery Reviews

One year since removing my hump at a Gangnam Station plastic surgery clinic and getting donor-rib rhinoplasty

Before my nose surgery, there was a slight hump in the middle of my nose, so the line was not smooth, and because the tip looked droopy, my face seemed somewhat stuffy. Especially in side-view photos, there was a visible feeling of a bend halfway down the bridge, which was subtly stressful whenever I chose photos. I did not want surgery that only raised the height. So from the beginning I searched mainly among Gangnam Station plastic surgery clinics known for treating hump noses, and compared reviews of silicone and donor-rib rhinoplasty as well. Looking at photos, perhaps the overall impression seemed less refined? I wanted the hump step to disappear and the line to continue naturally all the way to the tip, rather than making my nose dramatically glamorous. There were so many clinics that it was difficult. I also thought I might regret deciding at the first consultation, so I kept comparing saved reviews and before-and-after photos. I carefully narrowed them down through apps and this community, then visited several Gangnam Station plastic surgery clinics, but the recommended approach differed more than expected from clinic to clinic. Some focused only on bridge height, while others said tip support was more important. During that process I learned about donor-rib rhinoplasty and realized that material selection matters for people whose nasal tip looks droopy. I ultimately chose donor rib because it provides good fixation without taking anything from another part of my body, and since I work, I do not have many days off; having my ribs hurt too would have been too difficult. A longer recovery period was also a burden. Considering returning to daily life, this material felt more realistic for me. I also did not want another incision on my body. I asked a lot about this during consultations and narrowed my choices further to a Gangnam Station clinic that clearly explained correcting the hump and supporting the nasal tip together. Then I went for a consultation at Edition Plastic Surgery and met Director Han Dae-hee..! We took a 3D CT and had a consultation. I explained my concerns based on all the designs and materials I wanted and all the clinics I had visited, and I was able to hear very detailed answers from the director. He did not gloss over the parts I described vaguely; I remember how he explained step by step how much the hump needed to be reduced and why the tip angle was important. The price was reasonable, and because the director performs only a few surgeries per day, I also felt this was different from a factory-style clinic. After waking from anesthesia, the dry mouth was a little difficult, but I had wanted the nose surgery so badly that I somehow endured it well. At first the cotton packing felt stuffy, but I could see the hump line had been refined, which helped me get through it.. The early swelling meant the line was not fully visible, but the uneven appearance caused by the hump had definitely decreased. As time passed, the line from the bridge to the tip became more natural, and the tip no longer looked droopy like before, which amazed me whenever I looked in the mirror. I think I felt the reason for choosing donor rib most clearly in the tip line.. It has now been about a year since surgery, and the reason I am writing this review is actually the durability. Before surgery, I had read that a donor-rib nasal tip could droop over time, so I was a little worried. But even now, one year later, my line is holding well without the tip dropping! With the swelling gone, my nose actually looks more natural and comfortable now than at first. When researching Gangnam Station plastic surgery clinics, I think it is important to consider not only the surgery itself but also how long the result will last. Mine has remained comfortable without major inconvenience, and I am most satisfied that when my side profile is photographed, the hump no longer stands out like before. If I used to avoid side-profile photos, now I even upload photos showing my side line. The satisfaction is greater than I expected.. I searched all over and decided carefully, and seeing the result, I am glad I put so much effort into researching. From consultation to follow-up checks, they never seemed to handle things carelessly, and Director Han seemed to keep caring about the line I wanted and the things I was worried about until the end, which made me quietly proud. In the end, I am extremely satisfied that even one year after donor-rib rhinoplasty, my nasal tip is still beautifully maintained. When everyone is researching nose surgery, I hope you will not decide hastily based only on price or look at just one before-and-after photo; it would be good to find a place where you can carefully check various angles and the proportions of the whole face!
