It has been almost 30 years since my nose surgery. When I had the surgery, the doctor cut one nostril without my consent. Perhaps, in the doctor's view, my original right nostril drooped more and this was meant to balance it. Right after surgery, the doctor said, “The nostrils are in different positions, so I cut and reattached one; don’t complain to me that they are uneven.” I was very young then, and I was simply happy that my bridge had been raised. I thought I would be fine as long as nobody deliberately looked up at me, and I have lived like that until now. Recently, a close friend said the nostril asymmetry seemed worse and asked whether I was considering revision surgery. After hearing that, the asymmetry really did feel worse than before. I consulted eight places in total, and most told me to remove the existing silicone and undergo revision surgery. They commonly said that the more abnormal issues were the silicone bridge severely deviated to one side rather than the nostrils, and the division between the silicone nasal tip and my original cartilage tip. They said the improvement in nostril asymmetry would not be significant. The more consultations I had, the more afraid I became of complications. I came into this community, learned unfamiliar terms, and kept looking at photos of necrosis that can occur after a columellar incision. I blame and torment my younger self from over 20 years ago, cannot sleep, and am having a hard time. I have been sleeping on the side opposite the deviated bridge. I do not know whether it is placebo, but the deviation seems slightly improved, while I am also afraid that if it bends further to one side, the silicone might protrude. There is no guarantee that all kinds of complications, especially necrosis and inflammation, will not happen to me after surgery. I am wondering whether I should just continue living as I have been, even if it is not perfect for now. If you were considering revision rhinoplasty, what decision would you make?

Nose Re-Surgery@rhino-redo6d Do I really need to leave the support after septal extension?
I am so conflicted. I had a dorsal hump osteotomy, silicone, and septal extension, and the tip is extremely hard and does not move. Fortunately, even when I smile very broadly, I do not develop a beak-like tip; my natural nose had a tip…
Nose Re-Surgery@rhino-redo6d Worried about removing nasal implants
I previously wrote that the tip of my nose, which had been done with ear cartilage, hurt, but after obtaining my surgical records, it seems there was also a support strut and that the step on the nasal bridge was filled with fascia……
Nose Re-Surgery@rhino-redo6d This looks like cartilage show-through, right? Ugh...
It has been almost two months since my nose surgery. The tip was raised slightly using a septal support graft. Besides the cartilage show-through, I also feel a clicking sensation when I hold the columella area and move it to the right, so

The top three aren’t the only answer, right..?
Nose Re-Surgery@rhino-redo6d Has anyone used Megaderm?
This is my third rhinoplasty, and T_T I do not have silicone inflammation, but it was made too high. I am considering lowering it and possibly removing the silicone because I am scared of complications from silicone. I am also deliberating
Nose Re-Surgery@rhino-redo6d 110-day progress after nose implant removal
The photos are in a random order, but I’m uploading photos from day 110 after removal. My entire nasal bridge was ground down, leaving my face without dimension. After my first surgery, my period stopped completely and I was so stressed…
