My Mom’s Lower Blepharoplasty Review and Side Effects

When I was looking into lower blepharoplasty for my mom, a lot of my friends’ moms around me had done it, so I mistakenly thought it was a really simple surgery. So through a close mom friend around me, we found a hospital that was said to be really good at many kinds of surgery, and I had my mom get surgery there. But then... whether the doctor who was supposedly good at surgery only failed on my mom, one side under her eye was unevenly protruding, soapy water gets into her eye when she shampoos, and she feels a stiff, scratchy sensation like something is in her eyeball. Even though it has already been 11 months since surgery, she still keeps feeling those side effects... It breaks my heart so much.

The doctor flatly said they can’t do anything more, and even now, her eye still hurts and she is living in pain... Everyone, please make sure to research hospitals carefully and go to a place that specializes in this. This is absolutely not an easy surgery.

The photos below are from 3 months after surgery. As time passed, the asymmetry did improve somewhat, but it is still there.
