About 4 years ago, I had double eyelid surgery with the buried-suture method. I don't clearly remember whether it was undercorrected or came undone. One day I noticed that the ptosis correction hadn't been done and my eyes looked sleepy, so I went for a consultation. They said I needed incisional ptosis correction, so I had surgery with an incision on 7/22. Incision + ptosis correction + lateral/lower canthoplasty On the day of surgery, the operation took too long, about 2 and a half hours, and my eyes were completely covered in purple. It was bruising. From the time I went to have the stitches removed, one eye felt like something had gone wrong with the surgery. The doctor told me to send photos after a week. He said if it still looked strange, we should revise just one eye right away after 2 weeks. As expected, it was still the same after 2 weeks, so I had revision surgery on one eye again on 8/11.
But it still looks like the photos below. Even that is the result of opening my eyes wide, and the thickness is still that much. The doctor says to wait until 6 months, but is this really right? My original eyes were like Kim Yuna's, with no eyelid fat. And because the distance to my eyes isn't large, the doctor himself said that later, when I get older and my eyelids droop, I may need a forehead lift, and to prepare for that, he needs to leave extra eyelid skin, so he shouldn't make the line too high. But now when I close my eyes, about 45-50% of my eyelid has the double eyelid line. When they asked if I had any requests before going into surgery, I said, "Please just make sure I don't get sausage eyes." If I wait, will these eyes loosen up?
And with the lateral/lower canthoplasty too, from the side I can see all the red inner tissue. Is that normal too? I go to work, but with a mask and a hat... I'm afraid of running into people, so I don't even go to the pantry during lunch and I skip meals. I feel like I'm going crazy... Please take a look and share your opinions.
