I had revision surgery because capsular contracture developed in one breast. It seems like everyone here usually worries a lot while visiting several clinics before deciding, but I think I decided on my clinic more easily than expected.
I also found out about the contracture by chance when I had a checkup at a breast surgery clinic around Ilsan. That clinic introduced me to Director Lee Sang-dal at MD Surgery, so I looked up information about the clinic, had a consultation, and decided. Because of the cost, they said I could use the implant I wanted if I had one, but since it was also a revision surgery, they said Motiva would probably be better. The cost was a bit burdensome, but I decided on Motiva. But later, when I saw how systematic the aftercare was, I thought they really do pay attention to things differently from my first clinic. Seeing things like that made me think the surgery fee wasn’t even that expensive.
Because of the area, it is embarrassing, but it seemed like everyone was posting photos proudly, so I worked up the courage to upload photos too. Since I was in a situation where I had to get revision surgery because of contracture, I was upset thinking about the money being spent, and I thought there wouldn’t be much difference. But looking at the photos, the difference is huge.. In the pre-surgery photo, only one breast has severe upper fullness because of the contracture, but at first there was only slight asymmetry, so I didn’t even know it was contracture.
The capsule was completely removed, and I had the revision surgery through an inframammary fold incision. My first surgery was through a transaxillary incision, but in cases of contracture, the capsule has to be removed well to get a satisfying result, and they said it is difficult to remove it perfectly through a transaxillary incision, so I did it through the inframammary fold. I hope anyone here considering revision surgery can use this as a reference.
I originally chose the transaxillary incision for my first surgery because of concern about inframammary fold scars, but after actually doing the inframammary fold incision, although it is still red now, the clinic is managing the scar well. They said later it will heal to a slightly white? skin-colored? shade, so the scar will barely be visible. They said it doesn’t show from the front and would only be visible if someone lifted the breast to lookㅋㅋㅋ
The implant size was 355. Honestly, size is one thing, but I’m happy because the shape improved so much. I’m satisfied with the feel even now, and I’m really looking forward to how it will be after 6 months and 1 year. Especially because the upper breast doesn’t look like a rice-bowl shape, I really like it. Right now I’m satisfied with both the shape and the feel, but since it’s revision surgery, I’m not fully relaxing yet and plan to keep watching it closely.
