I had been researching rhinoplasty even before joining this community, and since I thought the most important thing was whether the surgeon could be seen during postoperative follow-up, I selected only clinics that seemed to fit that.
While I looked mainly through reviews, I found some points that were different from what I knew.
Shinnonhyeon Station ㅂ ( ㅠ 아님… ㅂ ㅕ ㄹ) I visited here for consultation quite a long time ago. It was in the Cior building in Gangnam, so it was very easy to find. I didn’t know much since it was my first cosmetic-surgery consultation, and the lobby was messy like a local internal-med clinic. While waiting seated, there were far more men than women. I thought maybe this is because male cosmetic surgery is also common these days, but at other places it was hard to see men. No consultation fee / CT scan Explained by drawing on the photo (it was a bit hard since I didn’t understand rhinoplasty well at the time). It was kind and detailed, but I had too little information, so I didn’t really understand what was being said. Cost is high (late 4 million KRW).
Gangnam Station ㅇㅂㄹ (ㅗㅡㄹㅣ) Also easy to find (right in front of Exit 12 at Gangnam Station) Not much waiting Consultation fee: 10,000 won
Very natural-looking in style Probably not suitable for people who want even a slightly glamorous result The surgeon spoke very frankly The surgeon’s name was unusual, so I remember it clearly A feeling that they will check on me well even after surgery Thoroughness Surgery cost is expensive (slightly below 5 million KRW)
ㅌㅇㅅ (ㅣㅔㅡ) Waited a long time and got tired before consultation There were not many people waiting, so I thought they’d spend a long time in consultation, but that was not the case either Quite strong pressure to force same-day booking I think the consultation fee was 10,000 won… anyway there was one. I got the feeling they were saying memorized lines without even looking at my face. Cost rose a little because donor costal cartilage was needed The head nurse didn’t notify a fixed cost so much as listen to my words and decide (high 3 million KRW)
ㄷㄷㅇ (더도어 아님 ㅣㅔㅣ) I made an appointment there because the vibe from reviews was exactly what I wanted Because it was Chuseok holiday season, the consultation slots were only fixed times, so I could barely get a consultation About five minutes of waiting, then CT The clinic director’s nose was so pretty; when I asked, before-and-after photos were shown The surgeon’s consultation was long and thorough He said he would place silicone on my nose and find the silicone that fits me After reviewing the CT, he recommended donor costal cartilage because the septum was small No consultation fee Cost is the lowest among the four places (mid-3 million KRW) I was about to pay right away but said I’d think about it a little first.
I think surgery during Chuseok is already impossible, and right now #2 and #4 were the best, and if cost is the deciding factor I think #4 is likely where I’d go.
