My face really wasn’t a case where only one area was the problem T_T. Each of my eyes, nose, and face shape looked ambiguous on its own, but together they made my features look strong and unmistakably masculine... I had done my eyes once before, but opening them still took effort and felt stuffy, so I looked into revision eye surgery. My nose was also large, with a thick bridge and a bulbous tip, so it had a very strong presence at the center of my face. On top of that, my face shape was angular, so overall it lacked softness 🥲
In the end, at [Clinic A] I had revision eye surgery with incisional ptosis correction and lower canthoplasty, along with lower blepharoplasty. For my first nose surgery, I had the bridge, tip, and bulbous nose corrected using donated rib cartilage, and I also had three-part facial contouring. Writing it down, I really did undergo a major construction project lol. But looking at me now, I understand why doing everything together made sense.
Opening my eyes takes less effort than before, and my stuffy-looking eyes feel more open. Once the area under my eyes was cleaned up, I also look less tired and hollow-faced without makeup. As for my nose, the biggest noticeable change is that the bulbous tip is gone. Before, everything from the bridge to the tip was thick, making my nose look heavy, but now the tip is slimmer and the whole nose looks much lighter. Fortunately, it doesn’t look like only the tip was made sharply pointed!!
As for the three-part contouring, what more can I say T_T. The sharp cheekbones and square jaw are gone, and the line continuing to the chin has become softer, so it seems to have played a major role in reducing the masculine impression. What’s fascinating is that rather than simply seeing bigger eyes, a higher nose, and a smaller face individually, I notice much more that the strong feeling has disappeared from my face as a whole. In my old photos, my eyes, nose, and contours were all asserting themselves lol. Now they seem to get along with one another... haha.
Because I had several procedures at once, early in recovery I wondered why I had taken on so much 😇, but after the swelling went down and everything settled, I have no regrets. My goal was not a dramatic makeover, but to reduce the masculine impression and make my features softer. In the end, that is what I like most about the result.
