Newness consultation review

I kept hesitating because it’s so far from home, but finally made up my mind and visited. Even though my consultation was at 10:30 a.m., the doctor was extremely busy with procedures, and consulted with me for about 30 minutes between procedure slots. He does ask what parts I’m curious about, but even when I showed sample photos, he didn’t seem to intend to match them exactly hahaha. He kindly explained as much as possible the purpose and goals of his procedures, and explained using before-and-after photos of patients with similar correction areas to my face. I have such a long face that it feels like not only do I have no nasal bridge, but my midface is sunken, so he was firmly against raising the glabellar nasal bridge. I also said I hated an Avatar-like look and had never planned to raise that area anyway, and he said everyone wants different things so he was explaining it; in my case, that area absolutely must not be touched, and the nasal dorsum and nasal tip should mainly be raised. When I asked, “If there’s no glabellar nasal bridge but the nose is too high, wouldn’t it look strange...?” he laughed and said making it not look that way is what skill is for. I said I had a desired nasal tip style and hoped he would mainly look at the nasal tip in the sample photos, and he said, “That I’ll match for you,” adding that patients change their minds more than ten times before surgery day, so we would talk again on the day of surgery. My conclusion after the consultation is that even if I have something I want, because the person in the photo and I have different bone structure and tissue characteristics, it felt less like he would make the exact same shape and more like narrowing down what the patient wants within the doctor’s surgical method. For example, if you like a glamorous nose and bring that kind of photo, he would make the most glamorous line and height possible while still looking natural for that patient. When raising the nose, each person’s nostril position and shape are different, so the nasal tip is also adjusted while lifting it, and everything depends on the individual, so I don’t think he gives a definite answer like “this shape is possible.” But he does seem to try to bring out that kind of feel as much as possible within your own face. He had a lot of pride in preventing side effects and performing safe surgery, and said he had been planning to reduce nose surgeries, but after getting picked up by the YouTube algorithm, there are too many now, so these days he only does noses. Oh, and he said nose surgeries are done only in exactly two slots: 10 a.m. and 2 p.m.
