Nose Surgery Reviews@rhino-review

Went to 5 consultations for my first nose surgery

This is my first nose surgery. I want a natural yet defined line. Short nose, bulbous nose, upturned nose, low nose Inferior turbinates are swollen, septum is very deviated They also said I have nasal valve stenosis (mentioned only at ㅋㅂㅈ)

ㅂ Director Hong The wait was not long. It was a while ago, so I do not remember well. Since it was my first consultation, I could not ask in detail, but he explained all the essential things like the surgical method without me asking. He said he would use septal cartilage. There is an added cost per ear. He said even if I do not do cosmetic surgery, I will definitely need functional nose surgery someday. He brought up a review photo event, and if I do it, I have to make photos and an account and send them to the clinic. Hearing that, I was like, huh? Indemnity insurance: possible Discounted amount, before insurance: most expensive, between 10 and 11 million CCTV: do not remember

ㅋㅂㅈ Director Hyun It was a while ago, so I do not remember well. There was some waiting time, and the consultation fee including CT was thirty-something thousand won. They said there was a discount if I put down a deposit, so I paid another sixty-something thousand won to make it 100,000 won and left. This was the first place to recommend autologous costal cartilage. They said anesthesia is done after receiving confirmation. He seemed to pursue safety, so he does not seem to do very dramatic results. He did seem kind, but during the consultation, I think he got a call that the patient was ready for surgery, and he ended the consultation in a hurry. The director consultation was the shortest. Like ㅂ, they also said that even if I do not do cosmetic nose surgery, I will need functional surgery someday. Nasal valve stenosis was only mentioned here, and he brought up autologous costal cartilage because my septum is small and my ears are small, so there is not much cartilage. Aftercare: I think there was something like hyperbaric oxygen Indemnity insurance: possible Discounted amount, before insurance: 9 million CCTV: real-time viewing also possible

From here on, I went relatively recently. I asked in a little more detail.

ㅈㅅㅌ Director Choi The wait was not long. The director had just come out of surgery, but he was very kind. He kept asking if I had questions and answered everything kindly. This was the only place using septal cartilage + ear cartilage. The consultant made the atmosphere really comfortable and was kind, so in terms of the consultant, this clinic was my favorite. They said there is no anesthesiologist, but they do not do sedation anesthesia in a risky way. They said even if I wake up in the middle, they do not immediately put me deeply under again and instead keep me somewhat awake. He said that when he served as a public health doctor during military service, he worked in the emergency room for 3 years, and told me not to worry about the risks. Aftercare: they said they provide swelling laser and skin care too. They do 2 surgeries a day. CCTV: viewing possible Indemnity insurance: x Amount before discount: mid-6 million

ㅇㅍ Director Oh The wait was not long. The consultant here was also kind. The director was kind too, and there was somehow a comfortable feeling. He listened to everything I was curious about and answered kindly. Maybe because I asked too much, he asked what people usually come in considering important these days lol. They said they use donated costal cartilage + septal cartilage here, but during the consultant consultation after the director consultation, I asked if autologous costal cartilage was not possible, and they said they do not usually use it for a first surgery and do not recommend it since it unnecessarily leaves a scar. When I said donated costal cartilage has a high resorption rate, they said there is not much difference in resorption rate between the two. I am not sure if the doctor said that because autologous costal cartilage surgery feels burdensome and he does not want to do it, or if there really is not much difference. But the consultant is kind. They said if it is a big surgery, they do one a day, otherwise two. This place had the most reasonable price. Aftercare: I think they said they provide swelling laser CCTV: yes Indemnity insurance: o Discounted amount, before insurance: mid-5 million

ㅈㅇㅌ Director Kim ㅈㅅ Honestly, this was the clinic I had been looking forward to the most. Surgery had not finished, so I waited in the consultation room for a while. I had heard people say he is chic and things like that, and had been thinking about it, but it felt like maybe he was just tired because of surgery. He said he does not really recommend surgery for a nose like mine, and that even if I operate on the deviated septum, there may actually not be much difference. He said if I raise the nose and put in a support implant, the airway could become smaller, so breathing could actually become harder. I heard only negative things while he seemed drained, and it felt like getting hit in the head. This was the place using the most materials: septal cartilage + ear + donated costal cartilage. When I asked about CCTV, he said, I am the one doing the surgery, so what are you worried about? Honestly, this director may be the one being truly honest, but I had been expecting to live with confidence after seeing my changed appearance after surgery. As that expectation disappeared, my eyes got moist even though I really do not cry easily. Aftercare: swelling laser, swelling injection CCTV: viewing possible Indemnity insurance: did not talk about functional nose surgery Price: 6.05 million

I wrote this while going home after the consultations, so please understand if it is hard to read. But some places say donated costal cartilage resorbs easily and is weak, while others say the resorption rate is similar and there is no big difference. So I keep wondering whether I can use donated costal cartilage, and in the case of ㅈㅅㅌ, whether ear cartilage and septal cartilage can handle my short and low nose. And right now, can I really go into surgery with expectations? I am thinking about that a lot. If I were to have surgery now, I feel like going to more consultations would just make my head more complicated, so I think I would go with one of ㅋㅂㅈ, ㅈㅅㅌ, or ㅇㅍ. If anyone here has a short, upturned nose, rhinitis, and a very deviated septum, please leave a comment,,, The places where I liked the director and consultant are ㅈㅅㅌ and ㅇㅍ, but skill is what matters, so I really do not know what to do. Everyone who has had surgery, please give me advice.

Thank you for reading this long, disorganized post.
