When I first got double-eyelid surgery (January 2018), I had it done with a partial incision, but around a year ago (early 2022), I rubbed one eye hard and the inner corner part of my right eye came undone. (Please refer to the attached photo) And for my left eye, as I lost weight, the fat around my eye also went down, so the line moved up completely. But the line had been made too thin before, and I liked this raised line, so I was satisfied with it.
But I was bothered by the inner corner of my right eye coming undone, so I went for a consultation to get revision surgery. But the consultation manager said I couldn't do just one eye, and that for revision surgery, only an incisional method is possible. But with an incision, no matter how unnoticeable they make it, it shows when you close your eyes, right...? I didn't like that, so I asked if a partial incision was possible, and they said they don't recommend it because I had a partial incision before and it came undone. But I said that incision would be too noticeable, so I wanted to do it with a partial incision, and they said then I would have to sign a consent form?? saying it could come undone. So I said okay and left.
After that, I searched double-eyelid revision surgery and saw that many people also just do it with buried sutures. Since I'm not raising the line and will just keep it as it is, I thought buried suture might be okay too, so I had another consultation. Also, I have to take my college graduation photos, so the swelling needs to go down quickly.. But the consultation manager kept trying to persuade me somehow to do an incision... even though during the first consultation, she said that if I do an incision, I absolutely have to raise the line... I want to keep my current line as it is...ㅜㅠ When I said I have to take graduation photos and need the swelling to go down quickly, so I want to change to buried suture, she said there isn't much difference in swelling between partial incision and buried suture... As far as I knew, there is a difference, but was I mistaken???
