Breast Surgery Reviews

Day 1 to Day 4 review of breast surgery I had deliberated over for 10 years!

Because I was so thin and had very little natural tissue to begin with, I’d been thinking about surgery for more than 10 years, hoping that I would at least have some breasts. Even when I made up my mind, I couldn’t find the courage, so I gave up and let it go, but recently I decided again and diligently visited a lot of clinics. Finally, I decided to go ahead with the surgery. There are many people who are satisfied after surgery, but I had also heard plenty of stories about people suffering from complications, so deciding to take on that risk was a really, really huge act of courage for me!!! Since safety comes first, I was more inclined toward a smaller implant. So I ended up getting mini 245-260, which is probably pretty small by today’s surgery standards, and I’m bringing a review from the day of surgery through day 4! Today is day 4, so I’ll go back to the day of surgery and write from memory. <Day 1 (Surgery Day)> I was scheduled for the second time slot, so I was supposed to arrive at the clinic by 1 p.m. and start surgery at 2 p.m., but the schedule got delayed a lot On the way to the clinic, the manager called and said the earlier surgery was running long so I’d have to wait, and told me to come slowly. I arrived exactly at 1 p.m., and there was more to do than I expected. Payment, changing clothes, washing my face, gargling, taking photos, hearing the consent form explanation... Honestly, what I was most looking forward to was the final pre-surgery design consultation, but because the surgery time itself was delayed so much, I was disappointed that I couldn’t go over the final design in detail.. I had been deciding between mini and demi, and I was leaning toward mini, but I still wasn’t sure what would make the prettiest result.. I originally chose Sway because I thought I’d be able to consult and communicate with the director best about the design, but on the actual day it felt hard to discuss more and like I was being rushed by time. Still, since I had already had many consultations before, I was leaning toward the mini option that had been recommended most often, so I decided to go with that. But before going into the operating room, they didn’t clearly tell me about the implant size to be prepared in advance beyond the one already decided, and asked me to leave it to the doctor, so I felt a little uneasy... I’m not sure whether detailed pre-surgery design consultations on the day of surgery are normally difficult, but it was so different from the pre-op design consultation I had imagined that I felt disappointed. Everyone, I recommend going in on surgery day with at least some decision already made before the final choice!! It seems important to explain the size and shape you want as clearly as possible during the consultation.. In the end, I went in with the size recommended at the very first consultation, so I felt reassured, but on the other hand I also felt a little disappointed that it seemed like I couldn’t get the size I had wanted. In the end, the final surgery started around 2:50 p.m. When I asked the nurse what time it was after I came out, she said around 6 p.m., so I think it took about 3 hours total until I woke up after surgery. Right after surgery I was in so much pain that I cried in the operating room.. I vaguely remember the nurses telling me not to cry because it wouldn’t be good, and somehow being moved to a wheelchair and transferred to the recovery room, but after that it gets blurry. From the recovery room onward, my memory is clearer. In the recovery room too... even though they said the painkiller injection had already been given, it still hurt. Reading the reviews here, I felt like a lot of people said the pressure was worse than the pain, but for me it was just pain!! Also, since they said I might feel nauseous after general anesthesia, I was worried about that too, but that turned out to be better than I expected. More than an upset stomach or nausea, the sore throat was harder to deal with, and besides that it was mainly the breast pain.. In the recovery room, I couldn’t even bring myself to bend my head down and look at my chest, so I asked a nurse to take a photo for me. Seeing that something that wasn’t there before was now there was amazing. What I was most curious about, of course, was the implanted size, and when the doctor came in and said the planned implant had been placed, I first felt relieved... but as time passed, I started wondering if maybe I had made it too small. My ideal was always a slender look with small, petite breasts, but... my target was still around a B cup.. Right now, for some reason, it feels like I might not even reach a B... Because my home is far away, I was so worried about how I’d get back that I felt completely overwhelmed, but after resting in the recovery room for about two hours(?) I called a Tada instead of a taxi and rode home. I’m glad I called Tada instead of a taxi, because although it cost a bit more, the door is automatic so I didn’t have to open it myself, and the driver was much kinder than a taxi driver and drove very slowly and carefully! I live in the countryside, so the fare from the clinic to my house on Tada was over 80,000 won, but since I had just had surgery I asked them to take speed bumps gently, and they really did pay attention to driving as smoothly as possible, so I was able to get home safely. When I arrived home, even getting out of the car was not easy, but the Tada driver helped me by pushing on my back so I could get out On the first day, even opening the front door at home was hard. In the end, I couldn’t gather the courage to open the front door myself, so I called my dad, who lives nearby, and asked him to come open it. If you’re a one-person household and planning surgery, it would be great to have someone who can be a guardian for at least one day... If you have surgery while living alone, I think it would be really difficult By the time I got home on the first day, it was already past 10 p.m., so I think I basically fell asleep right away, but I actually slept better than expected on the recliner that first night! But I couldn’t manage to change clothes, so I just slept in the clothes I had worn there.. After breast surgery, a recliner really feels like such a precious item! If I had slept in bed leaning on pillows, I think I wouldn’t have slept well On the first day, even sitting down and standing up from the recliner using only my butt strength made me feel a little pain in my chest, but as I’m writing this now on day 4, that pain is gone <Day 2> After sleeping one night, I definitely felt much better, so the pain is now tolerable, but moving around is still uncomfortable. Washing my face and brushing my teeth are still inconvenient, so I just wiped my face roughly with toner and only brushed my teeth before bed..^^;; I wasn’t hungry at all, and since I didn’t have anyone to help me, even making a proper meal felt hard, so even through day 2 I only ate New Care all day. Still, it’s amazing how you can live without being hungry.. I couldn’t have a big bowel movement, but I was able to pee fine.. TMI, but wiping from the back is hard, so I wiped from the front... The pain is almost gone, and what’s hard is the pressure from the compression bra. <Day 3> The pain is almost gone, and the famous itching starts. But for some reason I felt like I shouldn’t scratch, so I held out by deliberately not scratching as much as possible.. Still manageable. I think I’ll really feel relieved once the compression bra comes off. I think the throat pain was still a little there until yesterday, but on day 3 it seems to have completely disappeared. What’s hard now is not pain, but itching and the tight feeling when breathing. <Day 4> Definitely better than yesterday. I had my first bowel movement after surgery, and maybe because of that, my appetite came back today. Until yesterday, I had no appetite and no energy, so I was getting by with porridge and New Care, but today for the first time I ate meat side dishes and had a normal meal! However, the tight feeling when breathing is still there, and my shoulders have started to hurt. Washing my face still feels difficult, so I’m still only wiping with toner.. Wiping from the back after peeing is still hard... Typing doesn’t feel hard at all now, so I’m writing this review, but since I’ve been sitting for a long time my shoulders hurt, so I think I’ll go back to the recliner and rest while watching a movie! As each day passes, actions that use the pectoral muscles are getting a little easier one by one, so I can feel that I’m recovering, and I want to take off the surgical bra as soon as possible! Ah, today I measured the upper chest circumference while still wearing clothes, and it seemed like I’d end up around an A cup.. My original target was around a B, so I think I may be a little disappointed, but I’ll need to recover more before I can know the result accurately! To sum up what I felt during this surgery: 1. Things that are good to prepare in advance before surgery: - A straw (I regret not preparing one in advance) - New Care (it may vary by person, but for me it was so convenient because I could just use it to get through meals) - A recliner (it’s expensive, but if you have one, it really seems like a super useful game changer after surgery..) 2. For getting home right after surgery, I recommend Tada over a taxi!! 3. Since the design consultation on the day of surgery may not go as planned, make sure you decide your mind as much as possible beforehand..
