It’s already been about a month since I had alar reduction surgery. At first, right after the surgery, there was swelling and the area around my nose felt a little awkward, so I wondered if I had done it for nothing. But as time passed, the swelling went down and I could feel the shape becoming more and more natural. In particular, from the front, I can clearly see that my nostrils are slimmer than before, so I’m satisfied. In the beginning, I also felt a little pulling when I smiled or made facial expressions, but now that discomfort is almost gone, and it doesn’t interfere with daily life at all. The scar is also less noticeable than I expected, and unless you look closely from up close, it’s not something that bothers me much. It’s only been a month, so it probably hasn’t fully settled yet, but overall my nose feels cleaner and more refined than before, which I like. I wanted a natural reduction of just the nostrils rather than a drastic change, and it seems to have gone in the direction I wanted, so I’m satisfied. I’m looking forward to seeing how much more the swelling goes down and how it settles in the end. So far, I don’t regret the surgery and I’m living quite satisfied with the results!
