1. NN I heard they're trending these days for closed rhinoplasty, and since they were running a consultation fee event I was told there was no consultation fee, so I booked a consultation right away by phone. It was my first time consulting about my nose, so I couldn't ask much in detail, but the consultation manager had a somewhat cynical tone, though they still seemed reasonably kind (?) and gave me a lot of information, so it was fine. Since it was a free consultation, the surgeon was assigned randomly. He just briefly handled my nose with a cotton swab, said it would probably be enough to tie the cartilage and do only the tip, and the consultation ended without even looking at a CT or photos.. Looking at the surgeon's background, there wasn't much there, and I think there was only one closed-rhinoplasty review on this community? Anyway, I wasn't satisfied.. Especially about aftercare and similar things, they felt kind of vague... This was my first choice, but after the consultation I thought I should go see other places too.2. NN (surgeon specified) I told you this was my first choice, right. I still wasn't over it, so later I called again to ask about the extra fee for choosing the surgeon, then made another consultation appointment with a specified surgeon. (An extra 20,000 won) Maybe because of that, the consultation manager changed too? Anyway, I made time again and went on the weekend, and this time the surgeon also looked at my CT and touched my nose around, and didn't recommend unnecessary things. Still, this surgeon had good aesthetics and quite a lot of reviews, so I started leaning toward NN again.3. GR There were a lot of app reviews here. Since it was closed rhinoplasty, I went for a consultation (no consultation fee), and it was honestly the worst one. I'm working, so I wanted something that wouldn't be very noticeable, but the consultation manager kept recommending only open surgery, and then the surgeon came in too and said not to do closed surgery but to do open surgery. They said closed surgery was possible, but that it would barely show and I'd regret it if I did it, so I wondered if they weren't confident about closed surgery. The price was also quoted in a way that made closed surgery seem intentionally expensive and open surgery seem heavily discounted, so the difference between the two was only 500,000 won.. I also had to wait quite a long time for the consultation. Anyway, all I could think was that I had wasted my time.4. BY I explained the initials at the end because I was afraid people would confuse it with the place famous for non-open rhinoplasty cartilage particles. I saw that if you're going to do closed surgery, it's worth consulting there once, and since it was near GR Plastic Surgery, I made an appointment in advance and went. There was no consultation fee here either. Here there are two surgeons total, one for eyes and one for noses. And when I looked at the background of the nose specialist (Dr. ㅇㅅㅇ), it seemed fairly impressive by my standards, so I felt reassured. I went there with low expectations, but I liked the consultation so much that I even put down a reservation deposit that day. They said cancellations were free up to a certain period, so I booked right away.. The little Photoshop mock-up the surgeon showed me was nice, but he just seemed like an expert in this area. He examined my nose from different angles, measured my septum size, and spoke with confidence, so I immediately wanted to do it there. But the problem is the cost + the surgical items.. I already knew from several posts that it was expensive, but hearing it in person made the difference even bigger, right? First, it's over 1 million won more than NN, and here they can use the septum to also raise the columella through closed surgery, but if you do that, it costs another 1 million won... The difference from NN is that NN said they would not shave my hump but would adjust the height of the nose to match, while here they said it would be better to smooth the hump even a little, so there was an additional charge. Honestly, I want to leave the hump alone for safety? It's not that severe, and I want to minimize side effects... But later they said there could be a step difference, so it was settled in favor of smoothing it The surgeon's aesthetics also match mine, but the cost and smoothing the hump are bothering me.. And even if I do it, if I don't use the septum, I worry it might show no difference at all, like I just threw my money away..? I wondered if I should just pay 1 million more and add the septum, but then this would make it at least 2 million more than NN, and I also wonder if it's really right to spend that much money just to slightly reduce the hump step In the end I'm torn between NN and BY. What do you all think? I even spent points to check the premium reviews, but I still couldn't decide Please leave your opinions If you have any questions, ask me too!
