It’s been one week since the surgery. At first, I got swept up and made a reservation for under-eye fat repositioning + fat grafting at a certain clinic, but after searching this community I found there were tons of reviews about side effects from the fat grafting there, so I canceled and looked for a safety-first clinic, and ended up having surgery here. There are no app or cafe review discounts, same-day booking events, or anything like that, and the price is fixed. They don’t do fat grafting, so people who want to add fat will have to go somewhere else. The doctor just felt straightforward and honest, and clearly explained what could be improved and what the limitations were. The consultation manager, who looked a bit older, also explained things very well. It was my first surgery on a weekday, but it was delayed by almost 30 minutes because of the consultation, which was disappointing. The hospital kept contacting me with fasting instructions and other precautions, and even on the day of surgery they asked again how many times I had received Rejuran injections (I had written it down during the consultation). They seemed to screen out people who looked likely to have bad outcomes, like those with adhesions or who had received fillers. They told me to take allergy medicine, that if I sneezed during surgery they would have to stop because of bleeding, and that if I moved too much under sedation they would stop as well, so there were quite a lot of precautions, which actually made me more nervous on the surgery day. I was worried that I might move without realizing it under sedation and wake up to find only one side done.. haha But once the anesthetic went in, it finished comfortably, and aside from waking me up and telling me to roll my eyes around, there wasn’t anything else. I didn’t do the cold compresses diligently because I was lazy, so I swelled up a lot, but by day 7 I started looking a bit more like a person again When I took off the dressing, there was less bruising than I expected! The swelling still hasn’t fully gone down, and one side still has a slightly lumpy and painful fixed area, but I think it’ll take more than a month to settle. So far, I think getting the under-eye fat repositioning was the right choice!!
