About 50 days ago, I had square jaw + chin tip surgery (T-osteotomy). Yesterday, from about 15 m away, I got hit in the area with the fixation pin at the chin tip by a fairly hard soccer ball. It hurt a bit at first, and there is still slight pain today, but there is no particular increase in swelling or severe pain. Because of my circumstances, I can only go back to the hospital where I had surgery after next week, and when I called the hospital, they also told me to wait for now, so that's where things stand. Please respectfully refrain from telling me to ask the hospital again. Could this have had even a tiny effect on the surgical result? If the pin could come loose even a little, if the bone at the surgical site could move backward even a little, or if there is any chance of nonunion or a crack, I would really appreciate hearing your thoughts! The photo is a partial CT taken 2 weeks after surgery.
