First of all, I've been using double-eyelid tape for 9 years.. So I already knew from trying different lines over the years that an in-out line suited me best, and that's the line I used to draw every day. And when I took the tape off, the line would stay in place that evening, then disappear again the next morning. But after about 9 years, it started oozing, getting wounds, and hardening, so I kept putting on Madecassol and then using double-eyelid tape again.. It was so hard.
But I was too scared to get double-eyelid surgery because I was afraid it might fail and I’d end up with sausage eyes, so I just kept putting it off. Then this time my employment support payment came in, I had some money to spare, and suddenly the YouTube algorithm showed me a video about sunken eyes from Maptio Plastic Surgery After watching that, I felt like the director really understood the overall point of what line suits each eye style to make a person look beautiful and harmonious, and it matched my own style so well. His way of speaking was also so logical and calm that, honestly, I barely even looked for review photos from that clinic and just booked a consultation right away
But then when I looked through the reviews here, people said the consultation and reservation take forever..... I must have been really, really lucky, because I filled in my name and phone number on the consultation reservation page on the website and registered it, and then the very next morning they called me and said I could come for a consultation next Tuesday, so I got the chance,,,,,,
Then I had the consultation this Tuesday, and I went there thinking that if I couldn't have surgery with Director Seo Hyo-seok, I would never get double-eyelid surgery in my life (my gut instinct when I get fixated on something is insanely strong... plus I'm impulsive). So I was very satisfied with the consultation that day, and when I said I wanted the surgery date to be the earliest possible date starting from today, they happened to have a slot on Thursday (yesterday), so I booked it right then. I had surgery yesterday evening, and this is my fresh, warm review!!!!! Honestly, I'm so happy and it turned out so well that I wanted to share it.... (Consultation: Tue 8/11, Surgery: Thu 8/13 at 5 PM)
To roughly summarize the consultation: I'm in my early 20s and have a typical sunken-eye type. If you remove the fat from the upper eyelid, it doesn't automatically make the heaviness go away; later on it can sink in too much and make the eyes look even more sunken (like Lee Dong-wook's eye hollows), so we decided not to touch the fat and to only make a very subtle incision in the skin that had slightly loosened from using double-eyelid tape, while keeping the in-out line I had been drawing, and just slightly raising the line from the back part of the eye to the outer end!!! I also like a slightly round eye shape and a line that lifts a little at the outer corner
And because I was worried that maybe the line had drooped from using double-eyelid tape, I asked whether I should also get ptosis correction, but he said my eyelid-opening strength was good enough that there was no need, and if I did it, my eyes might look a bit too wide-open, which I don't really like, so I decided not to do it! I don't really like the idea of eyes just becoming bigger no matter what..
