I went to 8 clinics in total.. I’m exhausted from the heat... autologous rib cartilage, silicone used, Pinocchio nose. 11-shaped nostrils. Columella deviation, narrow nostrils, and feeling short of breath. When inhaling, the nostrils stick together so I can’t take a deep breath. Too much silicone.. that’s my nose right now So I’ve now been to 8 places in total and am trying to choose among them... Area around Sinsa Station 1. Seemed like they also do eyes well, so I got an eye consultation too. The staff and the doctor were both kind, and the consultation was thorough. They took a CT scan and showed me a virtual nose. Consultation fee is 10,000 won if I write a review. They roughly predicted the method for my nose surgery and explained the planned surgical approach using a nose model. They said they would remove the autologous rib cartilage, replace the columella with ear cartilage, and since the current foreign-body sensation isn’t that severe, they would release the adhesion because the wing cartilage at the tip has been pulled upward, and support between the wing cartilages with ear cartilage. Watching the video they showed me, I was surprised that the tip of the nose could move so freely. I can use Inofit or regular silicone, but Inofit costs extra. Columella removal recommended x2. They have CT and provide virtual surgery. They showed both what it would look like without columella removal and what it would look like with columella removal. They said columella removal is possible and that they would make the nose tip as pretty as possible. The doctor was kind. For the bridge, they would use Megaderm or Inofit. They said removing the autologous rib cartilage would make breathing easier -------------------------------- Cheongdam area The older doctor was meticulous, spent a long time in consultation, and showed many before-and-after cases similar to mine. Overall, the photos looked naturally prettier. The doctor said his goal is to make people pretty without obvious signs of cosmetic surgery. I originally wanted full removal, but he told me not to think so extremely and to go in the direction of lowering it and making it prettier. During surgery, he said he might change the columella with ear cartilage and, depending on septal damage, might leave some autologous rib cartilage behind. He would also lower the silicone. He said the autologous rib cartilage could be stored again near the ribs. The price was the second highest He said if I bring various desired photos from different angles before surgery, he will put them up in the operating room as reference. -------------------------------- Area around Apgujeong 1. Because the columella could curl upward, they suggested keeping the autologous rib cartilage, lowering the columella, and lowering the height while making the length slightly longer. 2. Apgujeong Ivy: full removal possible, tip cartilage can be lifted. They said they would match it as closely as possible if I bring photos I want. They said it won’t collapse. If removed, it would return to my original columella. To lower the columella, a support is needed. 3. The doctor explained in detail while drawing. Since I said breathing is difficult, he had me lie down and actually checked my breathing using a tool. He said it is external nasal valve stenosis, and that the wing cartilages have been pulled upward so the nostrils have lost strength... He said they would graft ear cartilage onto the wing cartilages. Because it is a raised nose, he said they would use a reverse-rotation technique, and for the bridge they would use Megaderm. This was the most expensive. 4. They checked my nose with ultrasound. Consultation fee 10,000 won. They said they would leave a columella support. For the bridge, they would use silicone and lower it. They said they would look at the design again on the day of surgery. I went earlier than my appointment time, but the consultation started early and ended early too. And the consultation time was shorter than I expected. 5. They took an X-ray. Consultation fee plus everything was 30,000 won. They said they would cut the existing autologous rib cartilage and reuse it. Since the columella would be placed between the wing cartilages, there wouldn’t be a strong foreign-body sensation. Lower the silicone. They said they wouldn’t insert cotton inside the nose... Even if the columella is removed, it’s hard to return to the original nose, and rather, to recreate the original nose, it’s better to add a columella support. As for the crookedness, even the original nose was crooked, but lowering the height would improve it a lot. Breathing would improve a lot, but since there may be other causes, they couldn’t guarantee 100%. I’m also torn about whether to keep the columella or not, and choosing a hospital seems hard too
