A fleshy, thick-skinned bulbous nose was not improved. The treatment was more conservative than I expected. The director genuinely thinks about the patient and handles the consultation and surgery with care. But there is a clear, definite limit to what can be improved in a thick-skinned bulbous nose. I used septal cartilage and ear cartilage, and no osteotomy or alar reduction was done. The hump was shaved down.. that is the part I regret. The hump wasn't very severe, so I wondered whether it would have been better to do it without an implant. It wasn't an ugly, pronounced hump, but a natural-looking one. Still, they shaved it down and inserted silicone. Of course, 5 mm was inserted, so since the glabella was low to begin with and improving the bulbous tip required raising the tip that much, that part is true.. but in the end, thick skin is something no clinic can fix
