After the CT scan, I had a consultation. They said that if the implant is removed, the bridge of the nose may become indented, and if that happens they would show before-and-after photos of the sunken bridge, and that I should have clear criteria for deciding whether I would remove it or revise it. If the condition becomes poor during surgery, they may use an implant. I liked that they also carefully reviewed my previous surgical records and explained everything. It was a consultation early in my search, and it made me realize I should think more carefully about removal, which I had been viewing too positively. Maybe because of my previous surgery records, the estimate looked like revision surgery rather than removal, so I was surprised by how expensive it was.
