6-Month Review After Surgery for a Low, Wide Nose with Autologous Costal Cartilage

Before surgery, my low, wide nose made my whole face look dull and that bothered me. Since makeup could only cover so much, I visited several clinics to improve my complex, and in the end I decided to trust Dr. Kim Jaeyoon at Lowell, who was the most professional and really understood my concerns. I had surgery with autologous costal cartilage, and even right after surgery I didn’t feel any particular pain in my rib cartilage or nose other than the stuffiness from the packing, and I don’t think the swelling was very severe either. The bruising disappeared completely over about 1 to 2 weeks, and the major swelling went down after about one or two months, so daily life wasn’t a problem. Now, at 6 months, even the remaining swelling is gone, and it feels like everything has settled naturally. Because the nose is the center of the face, I definitely feel my face looks less dull and less plain after surgery, so I’m extremely satisfied. People around me compliment me a lot, and I’ve gained confidence when taking photos too. I’m very satisfied that they performed the surgery with a height and line suited to my original facial features. In the early stage after surgery, I think I kept being conscious of the surgical area when washing my face or putting on makeup, but now at 6 months there’s no foreign-body feeling or any other side effects, as if it were my original nose! I got the surgery at the event price, so the cost burden was lighter, and since the result is satisfying, I’m even happier. I’m grateful to the director who created such a good result and to the nurses who kindly handled the aftercare~
