It’s already been a year since my contouring surgery! Time really flies. I was never happy with my face shape to begin with, so I chose facial contouring as my first cosmetic surgery. I really, really hated how my square jaw stood out in photos So I looked for a clinic, focusing on places that wouldn’t shave my face down into a dog-jaw look (important!!!), and places that wouldn’t require a drain and wouldn’t leave much scarring, and I chose Bondi. When I first went in for a consultation, the manager who consulted me said she had also had cheekbone surgery at that hospital, and it looked so natural that I said I wanted to do cheekbones too as part of a three-type contouring package, but she said that could make my face look too long, so I only had square-jaw and chin surgery done. I think it was the right choice not to do the cheekbones. Keeping the angle of the side jaw is a part that takes a lot of technique, so it’s important to choose a skilled director, and in the end I think I made a good choice! I liked that the scar is hidden because it was done through an incision behind the ear, and recovery was fast too. A lot of people say contouring is painful, but mine honestly didn’t feel that severe to the point that I thought double eyelid surgery hurt more.. Looking at the follow-up, the bone had basically healed by about six months. Recovery was fast and I’m satisfied with the result, so even if I could go back in time (?) I think I’d still choose Bondi🩷
