Nose Surgery Reviews

One-month progress review after FIRST rhinoplasty with Dr. Kim Jin-hyung at Sugar Plastic Surgery

People around me often said I would look pretty if I only did my nose, and I also had a complex about my low bridge, so after thinking it over I booked surgery with Dr. Kim Jin-hyung at Sugar Plastic Surgery and went ahead with it! I had surgery with a 6 mm silicone implant and septal cartilage for the tip. At first I had decided on about 4 mm of silicone, but I ended up changing it to 6 mm at the very end, so I was a little worried. But since my original nasal bridge was so low, when the splint came off it did not feel burdensome at all. At another hospital, they had recommended around 3 mm, but once I actually went with 6 mm, it did not feel that high either. If I had done 3 mm, I think it would have been so natural that it might not have shown at all. I am really glad I raised it to 6 mm! Originally during consultation, we had planned to use both septal cartilage and ear cartilage, but during surgery they said I had enough septal cartilage, so the ear cartilage was not harvested or used separately, and the procedure was done neatly. Not having an ear incision made recovery much easier too! Also, my original concern was my nasal bridge, so I only wanted to touch the bridge. But cases like that are rare, and since I was already doing it, I got greedy and decided to raise the tip a little too, and I really think I made the right choice. My original tip was a bit blunt, but I did not think it was low, so I hesitated. However, the result is not overly sharp or artificial, and the slightly blunt part of my original shape was refined while being lifted naturally, so I love it! I have slightly protruding eyes, so my eyes stick out more than my bridge did, and I really disliked my side profile. Now that I finally have a bridge, when I look at my profile the other eye is not visible and the bridge line shows clearly, so I am very satisfied. People around me also say it turned out naturally and beautifully, which makes me happy! From the very first consultation, I am truly grateful for Dr. Kim Jin-hyung’s skill in considering my skin thickness and nasal shape and creating a firm, beautiful line. The staff members who kindly took care of everything from the hospital visit process through the postoperative follow-up were also wonderful. If anyone is considering low-bridge nose surgery or tip surgery like I was, I sincerely recommend Sugar Plastic Surgery!
