Eye Surgery Considerations

Ilmiri community review

I booked a consultation with the head doctor because it was the place where an acquaintance had surgery. The consultation was short compared with the waiting time, but it definitely pointed out exactly what was wrong with my eyes right now, so it felt like the frustration and the unresolved feeling I had at other clinics got cleared up. I was irritated while waiting, but I think it was worth waiting for the consultation. They told me that even for revision surgery, non-incisional surgery would be possible, but because my eyes would easily loosen again, they wanted to recommend incisional surgery. I brought a photo of the semi-open line I wanted, and they said it would be possible as shown in the photo, but because of the inner corner of my eyes, if I wanted to pull the line out nicely, I would need to do upper canthoplasty together. I thought, do I really need upper canthoplasty? But when they drew the line, they used another stick to widen it, and the feeling was clearly different between with and without opening it, so if I do have surgery here, I think I will need to do canthoplasty together... People said the doctor’s consultation would be very hit or miss, but I did not really feel that, or maybe because I went there for revision surgery? I liked that they clearly told me whether surgery was possible and what the limits were, because it felt like they were scratching exactly where it itched. Also, during the surgery process, I could feel that they were trying to reduce scarring, and that came through when they explained it too. The staff were kinder than I expected, and aside from the waiting time, everything was good. The staff were so kind that I could not even get angry about the waiting time lol.
