Eye Surgery Reviews

Revision for outer canthoplasty, finally done..

I overdid the outer canthoplasty too much, and even as time passed, I kept being bothered by the outer corner of my eyes. A lot of people are doing canthoplasty so easily these days, but I really recommend not overdoing it I also had conjunctival exposure, and the D-shaped appearance was stressful, and because the outer corners of my eyes felt split open, my impression looked so different that I worried a lot. In particular, my dry eye symptoms got worse than before, so there were functional discomforts too, and in the end I started looking into revision. I was also worried revision would leave a lot of scarring, so I couldn’t decide easily, but after consulting mainly with surgeons who had a lot of revision experience, I had the revision at Unique Plastic Surgery, and I’m so satisfied with this result. Before surgery, I thought I would have to accept some scarring, but the scar is not very noticeable, and it seems to be settling naturally, so I’m relieved. The old D-shape has definitely improved a lot, and my eyes look much less sharp, so my overall impression seems better too. I was really struggling with dry eye before, but I think revision really is something you need to research even more carefully than the first surgery, so choosing to look for a surgeon with lots of revision experience was the right decision.
