I got double eyelid surgery from Director Kim Dong-geol at Pop Plastic Surgery, and personally I’m not satisfied. Before the surgery, I said I wanted it to be as natural as possible with good symmetry on both sides, but now that recovery is over, one side of the line looks okay while the other side feels a little distorted. Especially when I open my eyes or take photos, the height of the lines on both sides also looks a little different, so it feels uneven, which bothers me the most. At first I thought it was because of swelling, so I waited for several months, but there wasn’t much change, and even as time passed the asymmetry kept showing, which is disappointing. People around me say it doesn’t really stand out, but because I look in the mirror every day, I feel even more bothered. The consultation with the director and the hospital’s response were fine, but in terms of the result my satisfaction is lower than I expected. Of course eye shape and results can vary from person to person, but if you’re sensitive to symmetry or line shape like I am, I recommend talking more carefully during consultation about the line you want and the asymmetry concerns.
