Every time I went to the dermatologist, I was told I had a recessed chin, and suddenly I got the urge to do it. I also always hated photos of my side profile. I made up my mind and told my husband I was going to have surgery. I’d seen it done so much on YouTube that, for some reason, it felt familiar, so I decided on surgery for my recessed chin without even looking into other places... It feels better than choosing an implant, but part of me wonders if I decided too quickly. I used to always hear that my cheeks made me look younger, but now that I have a chin, I’ve suddenly become a peanut-shaped face. I keep hearing things like, why do you look so old, why do you look so tired.... It was a surgery I did to become prettier, but I’m full of regret... What is truly natural is truly natural, because no one can tell I had surgery. But instead I ended up discovering a completely different version of myself... Did I always look like this??? But I’m not that pretty after all... I’m facing the heartbreaking reality that if you have a recessed chin, having a chin doesn’t necessarily make you pretty
