10 years ago I had septal cartilage grafting and tip narrowing without silicone, and so far I have had no problems and the shape has remained unchanged. I was worried because I had heard the septum could collapse, but there have been no issues, and at the time I did not even know I had a tendency toward upturned nostrils, but thank you for considering that in the surgery.
