I went to consult about my mom's lower eyelid area, and I was surprised when they mentioned lower blepharoplasty, but I was persuaded after hearing the reason. If it is just fat bulging out, then fat repositioning is enough, but if the skin has sagged (in younger people), then they said it should be done with lower blepharoplasty, which lifts the skin too. They firmly told me they could not do it if what I wanted was only lower eyelid surgery, and they also explained in detail the side effects of fat removal and grafting, as well as the problems with some dermatology procedures.
