I had surgery for a crooked nose 11 years ago. During the consultation I could not see the surgeon and only spoke with the coordinator, and back then I did not know much, so the crooked nose was not improved at all... I was getting surgery because of the crooked nose, but during the consultation they kept saying it would definitely be corrected. Then on the pre-op consent form, they had me check the box for the side effect that the nose could become crooked. When I said I was doing this because my nose was crooked and did not understand how it made sense to say the nose could become crooked, they just said that would not happen... I had already paid and it was right before surgery, so I went ahead with it.
