After <after surgery> After <after surgery> Before <before surgery> As the title says, I had cheekbone + square jaw + double chin liposuction done all at once + deep cheek fat removal and cortical osteotomy too! For about 3 days, I was pretty much not even human... The swelling was bad, and I could barely go about daily life, but from day 4 it got much better. For two days my whole face throbbedㅠㅜ Especially, unexpectedly, my neck hurt so much. From day 3 it almost didn’t throb anymore, but I think I had bloody phlegm for about a weekㅠ I was hospitalized for one day, and for 4 days I diligently went in for progress checks and antibiotics. The compression band was a bit uncomfortable, but it didn’t interfere with daily life, and maybe because it was winter, when I went around wearing a hat + mask, people didn’t look at me strangely...ㅎ
At one week, I had a progress check with the facial contouring doctor, and he carefully checked everything from my face shape to swelling and intraoral scars, and even showed me before-and-after CT scans of my face, which was so fascinating!!! Even though my facial swelling hadn’t properly gone down yet, just seeing the bone CT made me think, wow.. I’m so glad I did it. There was a bone next to the cheekbone that I hadn’t seen before, so I asked if it was an ear bone, and he said because the cheekbone had moved inward, the facial bone that had been behind it was now visible...ㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋ My cheekbones really had been big... He was surprised that the major swelling had gone down really quickly, maybe because I drank a lot of pumpkin juice and walked for an hour each day during the week. The walking really paid offㅎㅎ
I started meeting friends exactly from week 2. Since I couldn’t drink alcohol, I only went to cafes or watched my friends drink..ㅠ Now it’s exactly 3 weeks plus 2 days, and since both incisions were done inside the mouth, no scars are visible separately, and the inside of my mouth is healing well. Both were dissolvable sutures, so I didn’t have separate stitch removal~ Maybe because I had double chin liposuction, my chin doesn’t hurt when I touch it, but it does hurt if I lightly stroke downwardㅠ Still, there’s no problem doing makeup! I started eating regular food from one week. Now, as long as I eat carefully, I think everything is fine, except chewy or hard foods!! Since my mouth doesn’t open wide, scissors are a mustㅠ But still, I can eat most things now~
I met my friends, and they already say my face looks slim. Friends I hadn’t seen in a while and who don’t know I had surgery don’t notice unless I tell them! The cheekbone change was honestly more dramatic than I expectedㅠㅠ I’m so happy when taking photos. It feels like something huge is gone? I used to always cover my face with my hair when taking photos, but this time I tucked my hair behind my ears and took photos, and they came out like the photos I used to take before surgery with my face covered by my hairㅠㅜ I loved it so much. My square jaw didn’t stand out from the front, but even if I turned my face just slightly in photos, it looked very angular, so I had no confidence in half-profile side shots. Now I just take photos comfortably! I didn’t do the chin tip, but maybe because I did cortical osteotomy and New V? together, my chin tip became sharp as if I had done it too, so I think I like it even more. My swelling is definitely going down quickly, but there is still swelling left, so now my face is slim, but overall it has about the amount of swelling of a face 2 hours after waking up..ㅎ They say with facial contouring, the face looks different at 1 month, 3 months, 6 months, and 1 year, so I’m really excited to see how much slimmer and different it will get!
I’m already extremely, extremely satisfied now, but because it’s a surgery with a lot to think about, I can’t rashly recommend it to my friends. Anyway, even if I went back, I’d do it... I already regret not doing it sooner.. I start going to work next week, so I’ve prepared pumpkin red bean tea to drink at workㅎ I’m also continuing to walk consistently!
Once the swelling goes down more, I’ll come leave another review next time~~!
