My nose surgery doesn’t look obvious, so I got a consultation for revision nose surgery. The before-and-after difference was striking, and it was also a place where friends with similar aesthetic taste got good results, so that made me even more drawn to it. Still, while reading reviews, I went to the trouble of choosing and requesting a doctor whose style fit me better, saving photos of the look I wanted, capturing review screenshots, and doing all kinds of effort I liked how straightforward the doctor was. They were very clear about whether something was a yes or no, and the whole attitude felt like confidence was just built into the baseline. I liked that the doctor clearly explained the plan they had in mind and had judged for themselves. Rather than, if it doesn’t suit me, I can just go somewhere else, and if it does suit me, I can do it here, that kind of feeling made me think it was better, and the things they told me during the consultation mostly matched my aesthetic taste and were somewhat expected, which I liked.
