When I said the front line was hidden and asked whether I needed an upper canthoplasty, they told me to do an epicanthoplasty. When I said the outer corner of my eye was lifted and that I wanted a lateral lower canthoplasty, they just said to do it if I wanted to. One side of the line was asymmetrical, and when I said I wanted to correct it, they told me that the skeleton itself was asymmetrical, so how could they match it only with a double-eyelid line? They just seemed unmotivated, and it felt almost like they were telling me not to have surgery there. They said that if the patient wants to do it, then they can do it, but it’s not something they would recommend. But the patient is supposed to explain the direction they want and work together to adjust it, so is saying “if you want it, do it” really the same as adjusting it? And they seemed so obviously reluctant to work that I was taken aback.
