I went for an eye surgery consultation today and wanted to leave a review! I’m usually very scared of surgery itself, so even after booking the consultation I kept thinking about canceling, but once I actually went, the atmosphere was not as intimidating as I expected. I first had a consultation with the coordinator, then with the director, and they looked at my eyes in quite a lot of detail. I often hear that I look sleepy, and when I take photos my eyes seem to look different in size, which has been stressful for me. They said my eye-opening strength is a little weak and that I have a type where the line is subtly hidden. I heard that every hospital recommends a different style, but here they explained that for my face, a direction that becomes naturally clearer rather than too flashy would suit me well. Especially since they didn’t feel like they were forcing eye correction no matter what, they only talked about the parts that were actually needed, which made me trust them a bit more. The consultation room atmosphere was comfortable too, and whenever I asked questions they explained things well without brushing them off, which I liked. I still plan to visit other hospitals, but for a first consultation I was quite satisfied!
