I got LASIK the day after my senior-year college entrance exam, and I really have no regrets!! (By the old counting method, this is my 3rd year) I had worn contacts for about 6 years, and because I had astigmatism, high myopia, and severe glare, I thought I might not be able to get LASIK. But they said my corneal thickness was fine, so I scheduled the date right away and had it done. My eyes originally had glare that was way worse than other people’s, so there was no dramatic correction of glare, but I can still see well, so I’m satisfied! But after LASIK, because of the glare, you do need to get the hang of nighttime driving. I still wear contacts sometimes.
