I already had pretty bad dry eyes and did not really find glasses inconvenient, so I just lived like that until last year when I suddenly got the urge and had it done.It was the first hospital I consulted, and they seemed to have lots of cases and to be confident, and the tests felt very thorough, so I just decided to go ahead and book it.. Looking back, I do wonder if I should have gone to a few other hospitals too.The surgery itself finished very quickly, and since I already had some astigmatism, they recommended doing corneal strengthening at the same time, so I had that done too. I had almost no pain that day, and right after surgery my vision was blurry and I could not see well, but I just walked all the way home by myself without a guardian;After the surgery, when I went for the next checkup right away, both eyes were already at 1.2, but even for about three months I still felt quite a bit of light scattering, so I thought maybe I should not have done it and kind of regretted it. But that might be because I was not very bothered by glasses in the first place.Right now it has been a year since I did it, and it still seems like I am at 1.0. I was very worried about dry eyes, but it is at a level I can hardly feel.If someone told me they were getting Smile LASIK, I would probably recommend it, but it was not cheap, so I would also tell them to look into other hospitals as well.
