It has been a little over 2 years since I had LASIK at Onnuri Smile Eye Clinic! To be honest, I was not very diligent about aftercare, so there is a bit of dryness, but I am really so satisfied 🥹 A friend told me that their whole family had LASIK here and it had been about 10 years, so I trusted it as kind of a living witness and went ahead. After I did it, 3 more acquaintances also went here, so I got 3 coffee coupons lol.
Honestly, when you go to the clinic it does feel like a LASIK factory, but since my friend’s whole family said they were satisfied, I decided to think of it as just a place with a lot of experience. The surgery was really over very quickly, but I had been watching the LASIK field-of-view video in advance, so once I was in there it was more manageable than I expected!! I was mostly just nervous about the fact that I was lying on the operating table.. It did not hurt, but the feeling of the eye being moved around was a little scary, that kind of thing.
Before surgery I asked the nurse drawing blood whether the surgery hurt, and she said the blood draw right then hurt more. But the thing I really felt as I left the operating room after surgery was, oh, my arm from the blood draw hurts more than my eye.. lol. Still, on the way home it stung a bit, so I took painkillers and just slept! An afternoon surgery is actually not bad because you can just sleep afterward.
Also, there is absolutely no way to go home alone, so you have to bring a guardian! The next day it was blurry at first, but after a few hours it became clear and it was really amazing that I could see in front of me without wearing glasses I was genuinely happy.
I could go back to daily life right away, and I think I only did eye makeup and drinking heavily a few weeks later! I do not remember the price what was it again.. I got a discount because I knew someone there!
