Because I had malocclusion, I went to several dental clinics for orthodontic consultations, and all four places said I was a case that needed double jaw surgery. I had also been stressed for a long time because of facial asymmetry, so in the end I decided to have double jaw surgery with Director Shin Hye-jin at Iyudental Maxillofacial Surgery haha My regular dentist recommended Iyudental first, and after that I looked up real surgery reviews, and the results seemed natural and the recovery process looked stable!! Personally, the fact that they do not use drains was a big source of reassurance when deciding to have surgery!!! Looking back now, three months after surgery, the swelling still feels, subjectively, not much different from month two, and especially around the cheekbones there is still some residual swelling. But since I was told that this was a case where the left side of the face had to be adjusted more, and the recovery speed was proceeding a bit more slowly, that actually made me feel more at ease haha. More than anything, compared with the beginning, daily life and eating are almost not inconvenient at all, and opening my mouth and the chewing function are becoming more natural, so I can definitely feel that recovery is progressing steadily! There is still minor swelling and sensory recovery left, but the overall course is stable and my facial balance is settling down calmly, so just looking at my current state makes me think I made the right decision to have surgery, and people around me keep saying I’ve gotten so much prettier, so these days I can only look forward to the final face shape after more time passes!
