Double-Jaw Surgery Reviews

Underbite double jaw surgery, one month review - recovering little by little

I've had a lot of stress since I was young because of my underbite, so I thought about surgery for a long time. I thought braces would solve it, but after the consultation, I was told that in my case it would be difficult to fix with orthodontics alone, and after a lot of thought I decided to go ahead with surgery. I looked into the hospital by searching for real cases on YouTube and blogs. The results looked natural and matched the direction I wanted, and the orthodontist I was seeing also said there was someone who had surgery there and got good results, so I felt confident and made my decision. Right after surgery, I was so out of it that I barely remember how time passed. Especially for the first few days, the swelling made it very hard to breathe. I also had that feeling of being hot and cold, but turning on a humidifier made breathing a little easier at least. As a few days passed, the swelling started to go down and the bruises on my face moved down toward my neck. After I went to the hospital for disinfection and laser care, it felt like the swelling went down even more and breathing became much easier. In the second week, the stitches were removed, and except when eating I kept doing mouth exercises consistently while watching the video they sent me. At first I could only fit about one finger-width into my mouth, but it gradually opened more, and by around the third week it was better enough to fit about two finger-widths. Rather than chewing, I ate soft foods that I could press down with my tongue. Now, one month after surgery, my stamina has recovered a lot and my pronunciation has improved a lot too. It's not fully recovered yet, but I can feel it steadily getting better, so I'm planning to keep managing it and recover step by step.
