I have had somewhat severe malocclusion for a long time, so I was unable to bite through food completely with my teeth. For that reason, I decided to undergo double-jaw surgery for the treatment of malocclusion. During the first week after surgery, my speech was still not clear because of the swelling, and I ate a liquid diet. But after two weeks, although hard or chewy foods were still not possible, I was able to eat ordinary meals to some extent. The swelling has not completely gone down yet, but even in appearance I look much better than before. In particular, because of the malocclusion my lower jaw had protruded more, but now it has receded a lot, so the change in my profile is what I notice most. At present I have no problems with daily life apart from swelling, and sensation has also come back quickly, so I feel very glad that I had the surgery. I am already looking forward to seeing what I will look like after 3 months and 6 months.
