Finally, more than a month had passed, so I finished removing and putting in the wafer and started orthodontic treatment. Time really seems to have flown by. I carefully searched through many reviews and also got consultations in person, and I ended up choosing them because the consultation was very kind and I trusted the fact that the hospital had been operating for a long time.
The hospital also said the major swelling had gone down a lot, but they told me there was still some residual swelling. I also feel like it still hasn't fully settled when I look in the mirror, but compared with before the surgery, I can clearly feel that my facial line has become more defined, so my satisfaction keeps going up. In particular, it's so amazing and exciting to see my side profile gradually changing into the kind of look I wanted.
Daily life has been going smoothly with almost no inconvenience, and I'm still eating mostly soft foods that are easy to chew. It's much more comfortable than at first, so there's no major problem with daily life.
As time goes by and the swelling goes down more and everything settles, I think it will look even more natural, so I'm really looking forward to it. I'm still recovering, but overall I'm satisfied with the progress so far, and I really think I made the right decision to have the surgery.
