Double-Jaw Surgery Reviews

These days I go out makeup-free without a mask... 4-month review after orthognathic surgery

It has already been 4 months since I had surgery with Director Kim Jongyoon at Iyugugang! Time really flies haha. Right after surgery, the swelling and wafer made each day feel like I was just barely getting through it, but now I am living my daily life so naturally that I really think, "Did I even have surgery?" What I feel most strongly these days is that the stressful parts have really disappeared a lot. Before surgery, I was so conscious of my lower face standing out that even if I wore a mask or something like a hat or hoodie, my face shape still seemed to stand out more for no reason. So even when I was just going out briefly in front of my house, I always put on makeup or covered my face. But now I really go out comfortably haha. There are many days when I just put on sunscreen and leave, and going around without a mask and without makeup is not stressful at all. I think these small things increase life satisfaction way more than expected 😊 And getting dressed up is much more fun too! Before, when taking photos, I was extremely conscious of angles and only did poses that hid my face, but these days I enjoy taking pictures and I go out to have fun all over the place. People around me also say my impression has become much softer and cuter, and hearing that always makes me feel good haha. The swelling has definitely gone down a lot compared to the beginning, but it is still amazing that it keeps changing little by little. As time passes, my facial line feels like it is becoming more natural, so I am looking forward to it even more! And because I have been living so happily with the results, people around me seem to ask about surgery a lot too. I also got contacted through acquaintances of my parents and through friends, and even a friend who used to say surgery was scary said that after hearing my review, they went to get an orthodontic consultation lololol. After going through it myself, I understand why everyone says, "I should have done it sooner." Of course, the early recovery period was not easy Especially the period when I could not drink water and the time when I had to live biting down on the wafer was really hard, but looking back now, it feels like once that time passed, the satisfaction became so much bigger. I still have orthodontics left, but up to now I am really, really satisfied! I am going to keep taking care of myself until the day the orthodontics are finished and the pins are removed ☺️
