Double-Jaw Surgery Reviews

One month after double jaw surgery and my midface feels dramatically shorter..

It has finally been one month since my double jaw surgery and facial contouring..! In photos taken without me noticing, my biggest complexes were always the gummy smile and my long face shape. Especially in photos taken with other people, it seemed to stand out even more, so I gradually started avoiding taking pictures altogether. By my late 20s, I looked back and realized I hardly had any photos left, which made me so sad T_T So before it got even later, I really wanted to overcome it with double jaw surgery. When I was looking for a hospital, I focused less on underbite or severe facial asymmetry cases and more on cases like mine, long face and gummy smile improvement. Then I saw reviews of similar cases treated by Director Kim Jongyoon and ended up going for a consultation. Since I did not have a case with major functional problems, what mattered most to me was safety and a natural aesthetic result, and during the consultation I felt that they really understood what I wanted, so I finally decided to have the surgery at Lee Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery!! And wow, it has already been a month. Since I am still in the swelling period, it feels a little awkward that the cheek fat I did not have before seems lifted up Still, the long-face feeling is definitely much softer than before, and with the midface shortened, my overall impression has changed to something cuter(?) and I like it Once a little more swelling goes down, I think the facial line will look much prettier, so I am looking forward to that!! Before, every time I took a photo I worried about my face shape first, but these days I think I look in the mirror more often ~ ~!! The hospital also told me that from the one-month mark I can eat soft foods, so I am planning to start practicing chewing little by little now. Just thinking about trying foods I have not been able to eat for a long time makes me excited already And I have been watching the jaw exercise video they sent me and practicing opening my mouth regularly, and because I keep at it, I can now fit about two fingers in without much trouble. Before surgery, my jaw joints were not great and my mouth was on the smaller side, so I was not very wide in range of motion, but I can still feel myself getting a little more comfortable day by day, so my recovery feels pretty positive!! If I go to the hospital next week and get an X-ray just to check that the bones are joining well, I think I will feel much more at ease!~!~! That is my happy one-month update, end of review.
