A jaw that had been my complex since childhood, an honest review one year later!

Hello!! 😊It has already been a year since I had double jaw surgery and contouring surgery from Dr. Shin Hee-jin at Iyug Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery!! After a year has passed, I live so naturally that I almost forget I had surgery at all haha. Before, every time I looked in the mirror I was bothered by how long my lower face looked, and when taking photos I would unconsciously cover my chin or obsess over angles, but now that stress is almost completely gone!What I'm most satisfied with is especially the side profile. Before, I hated it when anyone took a photo from the side, but now I'm not bothered much no matter which angle I get photographed from, and I can even leave photos more naturally haha. If before it felt like only my chin stood out on my face, now the overall proportions look much softer and more balanced, so I'm very satisfied!The sensory issues and difficulty eating that I worried about most during recovery are almost completely gone now too. At first I was worried about swelling, sensation, eating, and many other things, but as time passed they really did get better little by little! Now there really aren't any foods I need to be careful with, and there are no uncomfortable issues in daily life because of the surgery at all haha.And more than anything, I think my confidence has increased a lot. Since childhood I had been stressed by malocclusion and a protruding lower jaw, and even after orthodontics it wasn't fixed, so there was always lingering disappointment, but just having solved something I'd worried about for so long makes me feel much more satisfied! I enjoy taking photos more now, and when meeting people I feel much more relaxed than before 😊Back when I was considering surgery I was really scared and worried, but now I think I made the right decision by being brave then haha. Of course recovery varies from person to person, but if you're someone who has long struggled with skeletal issues like I did, I think it would be worth getting a consultation! I still only have the finishing touches of orthodontics left, but looking back on the changes over the past year, I really want to say it was a very satisfying choice 💛 Once orthodontics are finished too, I think the result will be even more satisfying, so I'm looking forward to it haha!!
